FLASH DRYER |seed and grain cleaning|Oliver Manufacturing Company|specific gravity separator|destoner Check out Oliver's new flash dryer which features precise air flowsto solve many thermal processing problems. The flash dryer system provides a solution to many challenging thermal processing applications. Instantaneous moisture removal from materials with a wide variety of size and consistency characteristics is possible. A dispersing feeder, a unique gentle air stream and a large vibrating table minimize material degradation. A long retention time on the drying table makes the system suitable for processing heat-sensitive materials and for maintaining optimal product quality. The air heater has computer controls that optimize fuel consumption and heat conservation. The process air can be chilled for applications that require the process material to be cooled. Process applications include a flash dryer for edible legumes after washing, surface dry delicate seed after mechanical coating and remove excessive moisture from stored commodities. A gas stream is used in a flash dryer for transferring the product. For a flash dryer, residence times are usually short and depend on the moisture or solvent to be removed to be unbound. Flash Drying can also be used as a pneumatic transport, thus serving as two needs. A carrier gas (usually air) is what is used in a flash dryer, to transfer the thermal energy. The gas stream is heated, and this can be done with natural gas, propane, steam, oil, waste heat, etc. A flash dryer efficiently dries any materials that can be carried pneumatically in great amounts. During this conveying process, small solid particles can be dried by pre-heating the carrier air or gas to such an extent that it acts as a drying medium. A flash dryer operates in a co-current method with the actual drying being held in small time intervals. A flash dryer is most convenient for drying wet materials when the mositure content is in the form of recoverable solvents. |
